This 1 Day Board Director Governance Roles and Responsibilities Update training course will enable you to define, analyse and interpret the corporate governance and legal issues inherent in any business scenario.

It is a 2023 update to the relevant laws, codes and regulations in force in 2021 and 2022, including the Criminal Finances Act 2017, ESG, Environmental Social Governance, the UK Corporate Governance Code on Director Pay any recent relevant new Company Director laws.

It primarily covers: Effective and Efficient Boards, Risk Management, UK Corporate Governance Reform Drivers, the 2023 rules, laws and trends on Director Pay, EU Corporate Governance applicability within the UK; International Board Structures; Risk Management. It also covers offence specific legislation at board level only, such as the Bribery Act, the 2017 Criminal Finances Act, the Corporate Manslaughter Act, Board Pitfalls and Errors arising from the 2018 Data Protection Act, UK GDPR and the Health and Safety at Work Act.   All of these are dealt with only at board level.

You will become more familiar with the most important aspects of Strategic Financial Management at Board level. These elements will also be included, to the level appropriate for board directors: Acquisitions, Disposals and Goodwill; Strategic Budgeting, Maximising Shareholder Value and Company Valuations. This course will also outline a framework for Strategic Risk Management.
